Christmas Gift Guide: Beauty Enthusiast

14 December 2014

Christmas is upon us, and I would have to say that this is my favourite time of the year. My family doesn't celebrate Christmas, but it's the feeling of festivity and excitement that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside — of course, the Australian heat could be contributing to that feeling, but I'm sure you all know exactly what I'm talking about. With only about a week left for last minute Christmas shopping, I thought it would be a good idea to create a gift guide compiled with ideas that are readily available and you don't have to purchase online and worry about it coming on time. Today is for all my beauty enthusiasts, and if you're like me and don't celebrate Christmas, maybe you can buy it for yourself!

If you're drooling right now because of how beautiful everything looks above, then chances are you're already waiting for these to be underneath your Christmas tree come Christmas morning. On the other hand, you could be the type of person who doesn't understand makeup at all but have a best friend who can't get enough of it, so if you're confused on what to buy her, then I promise you that these gifts will be a sure hit!

1. Hairhouse Warehouse Savvy Collection // I've blogged about this at the beginning of the year, and for good reason. Hairhouse Warehouse comes out with these amazing gift boxes that are jam packed full of great products and have a huge value of around $150. But don't sweat, because these babies are priced at an affordable $32.95, and with it you receive a shampoo and conditioner, some sort of hair care product, a travel blow dryer, a shower comb, and a voucher to HHWH. Now, these depend on the type of box you buy, and there are 3 to choose from, but be quick because these sell out like wild fire!

2. Stila Bejeweled Set // If your friend or family member is a fan of dainty jewelry and makeup, then you can't get any better than this. This gift is perfect for all ages, whether you're shopping for a teenage girl, or maybe your mum, they're bound to love this. This gift set comes with a Bauble Bar bracelet, Stila eyeshadow in Kitten, and 3 Stila Lip Glazes. You could also throw this in their stocking to surprise them as it would make for a great stocking stuffer. You can buy this gift set from Mecca Maxima or Mecca Cosmetica for $44.

3. Philosophy Glowing Days Ahead Set // You know what would have been great when I was in my early teens? For someone to sit me down and tell me what products I should use for my skin. If you have a teenager to shop for, or someone who is in love with Philosophy, then this gift set is full of Philosophy products has pretty much everything a girl could need. This comes with some of Philosophy's most popular products such as Purity Made Simple Cleanser, Microdelivery Exfoliating Face Wash, Microdelivery Peel, Hope in a Jar Day Cream, and Hope in a Jar Night Cream. In total this set costs $99 from Mecca Maxima.

4. NYX Makeup Collection Golden Horizons // You're on a tight budget but you still want to give something that doesn't resemble a toothbrush. It's okay, I've got your back. Honestly, you don't need to spend hundreds of dollars to buy a nice present, because if you go to the NYX counter at Target, then they have a great selection of gift sets for you to choose from. This particular gift set is $34.95 and comes with a 10 colour eyeshadow palette, Butter Lipgloss, Le Chick Flick Mascara, Eyeliner, Creamy Round Lipstick, Blush, and a cosmetic bag. Perfect for those who are just getting into makeup, or someone who wants to try a whole bunch of NYX products but doesn't know where to start.

5. GHD Rose Gold Deluxe Set // I've just spent about 10 minutes oohing and aahing because this set is so sleek and chic. Not going to lie, I'm very jealous of anyone who gets this for Christmas because I really want it for myself. This deluxe set comes with a rose gold GHD straightener, and a rose gold GHD Air hair dryer, so thanks to you, their hair will be looking great everytime you see them which is the best gift of all. This is expensive, and will set you back $370, so if you have a special person in your life, then they will definitely appreciate it.

6. O.P.I Trend On Ten // How perfect is this set of ten mini nail polishes from O.P.I? They always make the best gift sets for those who like to keep their nails looking impeccable. You can bet that the receiver of this gift will have an assortment of colours to play with, and the shades are great for any season. The shades range from pinks to reds, and also some more vampy shades for the cooler months. You can purchase this from Myer for $39.95.

I can't be the only one that has a bunch of these on my wishlist now right? Keep coming back for more gift guides as I'll be (hopefully) be posting one up each day! What would you like for Christmas?
